I'm Giulia, a resident physician and photographer from Switzerland. Fovean is my working name, taken from the fovea, the point in the eye where we see most clearly. Medicine and photography meet there for me: in looking closely. I've been shooting since I was 15 and have seen a good bit of the world, mostly through a viewfinder. I take on assignments out of passion, and I work best in the last hour before sunset: for that light, dinner can always wait.
